The Disciples of Aldur were a group of disparate people who served the God Aldur. They made their home in towers (and one cottage) in the Vale of Aldur. Men accepted into Aldur's service had the prefix 'Bel added to their name, women recieved Pol (although certain facts are unclear, as Poledra was originally a wolf that had no name, and Durnik is never reffered to as Beldurnik after he accepts his discipleship).
