- This page is written in the in-universe perspective of the "Garion" series' of novels.
The Child of Light is a term used to describe the person inhabited by The Voice of Prophecy and the main person in the Darine and Mrin Codices in David Eddings' series Belgariad and Malloreon. He/she is the opposite of the Child of Dark.
Children of Light during the time of the series include Belgarion, who confronted Torak, and killed him in a duel; Eriond, who Cyradis chose over Geran; Belgarath, who chose not to kill Zedar in Morindland; Poledra who defied Torak at the Battle of Vo Mimbre, and the first Brand, who defeated Torak in a duel and put him into a coma.
