The Earl of Jarvik was an exiled Cherek traitor. Despite the capital offense of dealing with Angaraks, specifically spying for Asharak, his life was spared because his wife was a kinswoman of Anheg, and he was only banished. Seduced by the power of red Murgo gold, Jarvik returned to Val Alorn, bringing Asharak with him, and conspired to kill Anheg and Garion in exchange for more gold and the kingship of Aloria.
He was executed by decapitation at the end of the Pawn of Prophecy and his body was returned for burial to the earl's wife.
It is assumed he had the earldom of Jarviksholm.
