Queen of Algaria

Silar was the Queen of Algaria during the time of Garion. She was married to Cho-Hag. Silar was childless, but she and Cho-Hag adopted the young Hettar after his parents were killed by Murgos. Her favorite lady-in-waiting was Adara, Garion's cousin.

She was quiet, dark-haired, and enjoyed working on a giant loom in the great Hall of the Algar Stronghold. But she was quite capable of dealing with adversary when needed.

In Endchanters' End Game, she outwits Elvar, the Archpriest of Algeria, she releases him from his duties at the Stronghold, sending him out to instruct the clans, asking him to survey the herds, effectively removing him from power and mischief, while Cho-Hag was away with the Alorn army.

"Queen Silar was a silent woman, and her calm face seldom betrayed her emotions...quiet, dark-haired queen knew exactly what was going on."
